Syracuse's Outdoor Clasicc

前回エントリーでＮＨＬの“Winter Classic”について書いたところだが、今日、地元紙The Post-Standardのwebに、「Syracuse Crunch（NHL下部リーグの球団）が二月に屋外ゲームを主催する」との記事が出ていた。　　

これはもう、ぜひとも観に行かねばなのだが、問題は――自明すぎて敢えて書くだけバカバカしいが――当日の寒さ。同記事によると、“The narrow track and grandstand create a bit of a wind tunnel effect. So, no matter how cold it is on Feb. 20, it will feel a lot colder sitting/standing at the game. Scrap together every bit of warm-weather clothes you have and layer yourself like a mummy before heading out.”（抄訳：建物の構造上、風が吹きやすいので、ただでさえ寒い時期だけど、体感温度がそれよりもっと寒くなるのは必至。ミイラみたくモコモコになるまで着れるだけ着こんで観に来てね）との由。

プレイする側でなく、観る側にも（というか、観る側こそ、か）相当の覚悟が求められそうな一戦である（笑）
